Several European embassies in Kenya have warned of a possible terror attack and have urged their nationals living in the country to avoid public places.
The embassies said suspected terror groups are targeting public places frequented by foreign nationals, including restaurants, hotels and shopping malls, especially in the capital Nairobi.
The Kenyan government has heightened security following the alerts from German, French, UK and Dutch embassies, among others.
Kenya has in the past been targeted by terrorist groups particularly public places where mainly foreign nationals like frequenting.
Kenya has increased the security alert in the Capital Nairobi which is a popular tourist destinations for many foreign nationals.
