PAN-AFRICAN SERIES Ethiopia Shall Rise from the Ruins of War

Ethiopia a country in the Horn of Africa is currently embroiled in a Civil War. Ethiopia is the mother of the Africa Anti-Colonialism Movement as the country was never colonized during the vicious period of Scramble for Africa. She has been a key and critical player in the PAN-AFRICAN Movement.

Culture a Jamaican Singer in his song “Addis Ababa” says that the Ark of the Covenant can never been taken away from Ethiopia. This is in reference to the country having not tasted the Colonialism and that the country will still not taste Colonialism because the Country has been ordained by the Spiritual Powers that be Above.

Ethiopia is a key Political and Economic State in the Horn of Africa, which is also home to Sudan, South Sudan, Eritrea, Djibouti and Somalia.

History records that the country has fought so many battles and has always risen from the Ruins of War. In the 19th Century, the country fought running battles with Mussolini’s Italy. The Battle of Adwa of the 1894 to 1896 saw Ethiopia defeat Italy. The Battle of Adwa, where Ethiopian army dealt the heavily outnumbered Italian Soldiers and Eritrean Askaris a decisive blow and forced their retreat back into Eritrea. Ethiopia rose from the Ruins of the Battle of Adwa.

Additionally, Ethiopia fought another Battle with Somalia to the East. Territorial tensions between Somalia and Ethiopia date back to the early 1960s when Somalia became an Independent State. On 1July 1960 Somaliland gained her independence from Ethiopia with Italian help and influence. Ethiopia once again rose from the Ruins of this War.
In 1991, Ethiopia had another confrontation with the Eritreans to the North-East. The communist Ethiopian government was toppled by Eritrean forces and the Tigray People’s Liberation Front (TPLF) and this was the time Eritrean gained her territorial independence in 1991. Ethiopia once again rose from the Ruins of this War.

In 2020, the Tigray People’s Liberation Front started the fight against the Ethiopian government to breakaway. The War has intensified in recent weeks and is threatening the Sovereignty of the Mother of African Anti-Colonialism Movement. Ethiopia Shall Rise from the Ruins of this War and the Mother of African Anti-Colonialism Movement shall stand strong again.

Ethiopia to this day remains a Key Political and Economic State not only in the Horn of Africa but in Africa as a Whole.
